Since this is my last week in Barcelona, I've been furiously trying to visit and see everything that I've been putting off for the last 9 weeks! It's amazing how you think you have all the time in the world to do everything...and POOF!...the days and weeks just slip away...and suddenly you have no time left! I guess it's kind of a metaphor for life, huh? Or at least it is for a procrastinator like me :-)
I indulged my sweet tooth on Monday by going to the Chocolate Museum, a virtual world made out of chocolate. Some of these "sculptures" definitely don't look like they were made of chocolate! It's also quite nice that they give you a free sample with the purchase of your ticket :-) Of course, I had to buy a few more chocolate bars to bring home...how about some chocolate with honey and cheese? Anyone?!?
On Tuesday, I went to the Joan Miró Foundation. Miró's work has always captured my attention in other museums so it was wonderful to see so many of his colorful abstract paintings and sculptures in one place!
I stepped back in time on Wednesday. I took a train north of Barcelona to visit the medieval city of Girona. This city has a beautiful cathedral and a well-preserved Jewish District which are both built on hills with hundreds (no, scratch that...thousands) of steps! Definitely a picturesque city in the heart of Catalunya.

Great pics. Hershey PA will never look the same! An South Street just doesn't compare to Gaudi's works (although just as crazy). I will miss your travel posts. I'm glad that you are home.
