I've Passed, But Now What?!?

Well...we all got the good news on Friday evening that everyone on the course passed the moderator's interview and received a passing grade on all of the projects as well.  What a relief!  We had a fun night out with everyone and we all let off a little steam!

On Saturday, I moved to a new place.  It is a roomy studio with a small balcony and lots of sunlight.  I am enjoying the space.  I'm in an entirely new neighborhood, but one that I'm familiar with because it is much closer to the tourist stuff like the Picasso Museum (less than a 10 minute walk), Barcelona Cathedral (15 minute walk) and La Rambla (25 minute walk).  Park Ciutadella is only 1/2 block away...I'm looking forward to sitting under the shadow of the Arco de Triunfo with my cafe con leche and pondering life...  :-)

Today turned out to be quite beautiful after the extremely stormy weather last night and early this morning.  I enjoyed walking around my new neighborhood and getting used to the winding and confusing pedestrian streets in The Borne.  I stumbled upon one of the fabulous restaurants that Nina and I went to last summer, so I stopped in for a sangria and some grilled squid and patatas bravas! Mmmmm.  The only thing missing was Nina!!!

I've gotten some classes to teach at Oxford House.  I will be teaching 1.5 hours everyday for the next two weeks.  It will be a great teaching experience and it's nice to know that the same tutors I've been working with for the last month will still be available for consult, if needed.  Starting next Monday, I will be doing an online course with Oxford focusing on teaching English in the business world.  I'm looking forward to that as I think it'll be very helpful for me when I return home and start to look for a "real job".

Thanks again, everyone, for your support while I'm over here.  It's great to know that I have such lovely family and friends!

Hey Pam-
I was here for a four-week course plus an additional week because of the Easter holiday. The course ended last Friday May 6th. I'm here until June 4th. During these last four weeks, I'm teaching some classes at the same school where I took my course. Getting some more teaching practice in ! Thanks for checking out my blog! Hope you're well! xo
