We started out this past Saturday morning with our own version of planes, trains and automobiles. This time around it was taxi, metro, funicular and cable car! We went to Montjuic Park where we had spectacular views of Barcelona from the Montjuic Castle. We also enjoyed seeing the Olympic Stadium and Complex where the 1992 Summer Games were held. After that, we went to the National Museum of Catalan Art...what a stunning building! And, come to think of it, the artwork wasn't bad, either... ;-)
We enjoyed a late afternoon meal of delicious paella in Barceloneta down near the beach. After we ate, we strolled along the "boardwalk" and appreciated the beautiful Mediterranean Sea as the sun started to set.
