Finding My Way in Barcelona...

Well, my first week of school is done.  WHEW!  What a whirlwind week.  I am definitely on information overload, but so far I'm really loving it.  We taught two lessons already with real-live students.  I definitely feel that the second lesson today was far better than yesterday's class.  So far, so good!

The weather has gotten a bit warmer...it is closer to 80 degrees now.  The mornings are cool so I have to wear a light sweater, but by lunchtime there is definitely no need for the extra layer.  I have been trying different routes to and from school...I love the exploration aspect of living in a new city.  Such fun things to discover!

As most of you know, I typically have terrible allergies this time of year. In early April, as the buds come out on the trees and the pollen is in in the air, I am usually miserable.  I have figured out how to cure that problem...come to Barcelona each April for the rest of my life! :-)  The trees already have their leaves and it is just so pretty here at this time of the year.  I think this plan definitely has some merits...

I have some more photos to share with everyone this evening.  I'm hoping to get out some more this weekend to shoot.  Of course, I will have to plan that around all of the coursework I must complete before Monday morning! :-)
I just had to take this in honor of my bro!
This building had such pretty windows...
These flowers were such a vibrant color that I had to snap a shot.
And I love that the mother is handing her daughter a flower...
I just wish the looks on their faces were a bit more endearing...oh well!
Along Gran Via (I've been told that it's the longest street in Spain...)
