Barcelona or Bust...

Well, I made it to Barcelona! My overnight flight got in early.  I arrived around 8am, local time, and went to my hotel (I don't move into my host accommodations for school until 4PM on Sunday).  I was very pleasantly surprised that they already had a room available for me even though check-in wasn't until 12:00 noon :-)

I was so happy to have a bed that I promptly fell asleep for about 5 hours of much-needed rest.

The weather here was gorgeous...it was sunny all day and almost 70 degrees!  After my nap, I enjoyed walking around and getting myself re-acquainted with Barcelona.  As a lot of you probably remember, I came to Barcelona last summer with my friend, Nina, so we could celebrate our 40th birthdays.  As I strolled around the city, enjoying both the weather and the energy, I remembered why we both fell in love with Barcelona!  Here are some fun pics that I shot while walking around...

La Boqueria...
What a fabulous market...I know that I will return here quite often!

This mime posed for me!

More posing...

Then he took my camera and shot a photo of me!
The large crowd was laughing...

This little girl was definitely not entertained by him...

But this little boy loved him!

Great musical entertainment in front of the Barcelona Cathedral...
