Although I've been back in Philadelphia now for almost two weeks, I still have a few more photos to share from my last couple of days in Spain. On my second to last day, I toured one final Gaudí wonder, the newly renovated Palau Güell. Again, I was just fascinated with Gaudí's architectural surprises and innovations. Unfortunately, it was raining that day so I couldn't enjoy the rooftop terrace.
My last hurrah with my coursemates was an evening enjoying the lights and music of the Magic Fountains in front of the National Art Museum of Catalunya. The fountains were even more beautiful and spectacular than I had expected!
On my last full day in Spain, I headed north to Costa Brava. I went to the Salvador Dalí Musuem in Figueres. The Museum was kinda like a giant funhouse for adults! Dalí was definitely a little crazy, but his creativity is mesmerizing and the museum was definitely intriguing and worth the trip!
I also visited the home that Dalí shared with his wife, Gala, in Port Lligat. Port Lligat is a tiny village on a small inlet near the town of Cadaqués. Cadaqués was just beautiful! Although I've never been to Greece, Cadaqués looks exactly as I would imagine Santorini or Mykonos to look like...pristine white buildings set among the hills near the sea. Seeing Costa Brava was the best way to end my two months in Spain...just gorgeous!
Since I've been home, I've finished up my Teaching Business English online course. Now I'm ready to tackle the job hunt! Let's hope I can at least find some great tutoring work!
I've really enjoyed sharing my Barcelona experience with my friends and family through this blog. I am realizing that I will miss posting my thoughts and sharing my photos with you. That's why I'm considering creating a new blog (obviously this title won't work for me now!). I'll keep you "posted" on whether I create a new blog or not. (Sorry, that was some bad blog humor!)
